The National Weather Service has issued a weather advisory for western Collier County until 4 p.m. for frequent to excessive lightning, gusty winds of 45 to 55 mph and up to nickel-sized hail. National Weather Service meteorologists detected a strong thunderstorm eight miles east of west toll gate on Alligator Alley and moving northwest at 10 mph. The storm will affect I-75 and Everglades Blvd, north blocks of Golden Gate, Golden Gate Estates and surrounding communities.
