The National Weather Service is calling for 18-28 inches of snow beginning this afternoon. Please see the following recommendations below: Travel: The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for our area between Monday at Noon and 6pm Tuesday evening. You are cautioned to stay indoors and only travel if ABSOLUTELY necessary. If stranded, stay with your vehicle and charge cellular phone fully before leaving the house. It is anticipated that many roads will be closed or impassable Power Outages: JCP&L customers who are without power are encouraged to call 1-888-LIGHTS (1-888-544-4877) to report their outage or click the “Report Outage” link on firstenergycorp. Customers should immediately report downed wires to their utility or their local police department. Customers should never go near a downed power line, even if they think it is no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled in trees or other debris.
