The National Weather Service is predicting freezing rain and minor ice accumulations in inland areas beginning around midnight through 8 a.m. UNCW is open and classes will remain in session. Faculty, staff and students should exercise discretion while commuting to UNCWs main campus from outlying counties; accordingly, faculty and staff from affected areas should refer to the Adverse Weather Policy. Students who will be absent from scheduled classes due to weather conditions should contact their instructors. Please continue to monitor social media and the UNCW website for updates as conditions warrant.
