The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA) will today launch the Youth Fund at the Mamatho Convention Centre in Mahikeng, North West. The three institutions have set aside R2.7-billion specifically to provide development funding to youth-owned businesses. The fund is accessible to young entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs from all provinces who need funding for their businesses. The NYDA will serve as a channel for the screening and recommendation of young entrepreneurs to access the loan finance offered by the IDC and SEFA. As part of this partnership, youth enterprises can access the NYDA Grant Programme as well as other non-financial business support services such Mentorship and Market Linkages. North West is the sixth province in which the three institutions will promote the youth funding initiative.
