The Neighborhood care idea has been floated by Government to identify the criminals / aliens in their area. I am very proud in saying that I was associated with that organization (CPLC) for over 23 years which initiated / launched CPLC-Neighborhood Care in March 1995 in PECHS block 6 Karachi to facilitate the provision of civic amenities and security to its residents. The CPLC-NC realized its objective by organizing citizens at the grass root level around common civic concerns, so that they may help themselves or approach the relevant authorities collectively and by encouraging then to collaborate worth the area police to ensure the security of their neighborhood. Similarly in Victim Assistance & Witness Protection Program CPLC placed the idea before the then rulers in late nineteens. Criminal Justice System & Judicial Reforms were also the ideas of CPLC. Now the Government officials are speaking on all the above mentioned issues, I request the Government to take benefits from the experience of CPLC Chiefs (ex Chiefs and present Chief) .
