The New Bilibid Prison got a surprise visit from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Monday morning, December 15. Led by Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, the inspection was in response to reports that many convicted drug lords were receiving VIP treatment and continuing illegal drug operations inside the national penitentiary.
