The New Creation man is created after God in righteousness and true holiness, He is brand new, someone we hitherto have absolutely no idea of, were not familiar with Him, neither have we experienced him before in dreams and reality. He is the image and the likeness of God that man lost in Eden, He was absent from the surface of the earth from Gen 3:7 until the New Testament when the Lord Jesus came to show Him to us with His life, teachings and examples. Now, when a man is in Christ, the Bible says He is a New Creation, He is entirely brand new. We can liken him to a man that just became the citizen of a foreign country, or to a man that just purchased a new electronic device that is entirely new to him. Such device is expected to come with a manual so that he can know how to operate it, and sometimes, he might need the assistance of someone that also have the device so that he can operate it smoothly because it is totally NEW to him and hes (as expected) ignorant of how to operate it. It must be noted that he doesnt need the manual in order to possess the electronic device, but because he has already possessed the device that he needs the manual in order to operate it. This manual will contain operational principles and precautions he must carefully obey in order to enjoy his device to the fullest, and on the other hand, if he decides to neglect the manual and start operating his device the way he likes, it will definitely not last. The goes with the New Creation man too, the life, teachings and examples of Jesus are the manual he would need to smoothly and effectively live the Life he has just received, he can also learn from others (fellowship) who are in Christ and are carefully obeying this manual (life, teachings and examples of Jesus) too and he will definitely do well. Note that he doesnt need this manual in order to be a New Creation, but he needs it because he is already a New Creation. But if he thinks he can do without carefully obeying the manual (life, teachings, and examples of Jesus) and continue living his life like he wants, he might someday find himself in the category of those who made shipwreck of their faith. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to obey everything that Ive commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and everyday until the end of the age.
