The New Suburbia I hear sirens outside my house and immediately jumped to see if it was an ambulance for one of the two elderly couples on my block. (Interesting that was my IMMEDIATE thought) NO What was happening was Cops were chasing two black guys who ran from the crashed car that was left running in the middle of the street. Another 2 cop cruisers pull up as the first two run after the guys. One cop falls on his knee and yellcomeer! I hear one of the guys yell run as fast as you can Then my neighbor around the corner comes out of her house barefoot and walks through our elderly neighbors yard and to her account watches the cop beat the shit out of one of the boys. I hear him yell Then her husband walks up the street barefoot, to survey the scene No 4 more cop cars are at the end of the block Aprox 10 cops to 2 Now Myself and 4 other FEMALE neighbors are watching the whole thing. Then my elderly neighbor who come from her yard and hands me a bag of PEACHES from her tree! In the middle of this whole debacle! LoL Anyway We watch the cops escort the two boys in the squad cars.... Then it gets better!!!! My neighbor who surveyed the scene comes back, goes to his house and brings the two cops who were running 2 SOLO cups of ice and 2 Bottles of Poland spring water! The cop takes his leather gloves off, accepts the water , chugs it down and goes back to processing the car! I mumble to myself WOW In disbelief of what I just witnessed we all disburse and retreat back to our homes. #showsoverfolks
