The Newark National Juniors had a gut check game today. They fell behind 3-0, came back and tied it 3-3, fell behind again 6-3 and tied it up 6-6 to send it to extra innings where the finally took a 7-6 lead, finishing the game with a double play (Jeffery tug the runner going to third and threw to first for to turn two). That was one of two double plays on the day. Dominic was busy at home as we threw three runners out at the plate, Jeffery from third on a runner trying to score on a ground ball, Danny from second on a first/third steal play and Matt from center field on a runner tagging. Great pitching form Matt, Nick, and Nate. H, Nick was 5-5 on the day and Drew had a huge hit with two outs to drive in the winning run. Next game Saturday at 4:00 vs Maine.
