The News from The Knolls Its been a good day, a quiet day, a day filled with reading and the Lord and computer work and a visit from a friend who comes by to chat now and again. I was chatting with the Lord this morning about the wretched, sinful state of my heart...and He just made me laugh...laugh at my sorry self. As if me being in any better shape would make Him love me any more than He already does. Nothing I need to measure up to, just accept His love and allow Him to live through me toward others. It was a good time...the time with Him...laughing. Met a fella at Starbucks who noticed I was reading Lee Strobels book The Case For Faith. We had a wonderful chat that involved sharing how wed each come to know Jesus, and what we do for a living. Hes an Electrical Engineer who now does only consulting about patent infringements. Has been called upon to testify in some court cases....one pretty high profile. Hed been a successful businessman, but the emptiness in it drove him to quit, costing him his wife. In his late 40s he met someone who shared Christ with him and got him involved in Bible study and fellowship. Some years after trusting the Lord, cancer hit...but hes doing great now....taking care of his system. Anyhow, a new friend...and small world...he knows my best friends, the Broussards. Got tons more files transferred today from PC to Mac. Its a process. Thankful...so very, very thankful...for this new laptop and huge monitor I was recently given by my friend Larry Martin. Whereas I was crawling, now I fly. Huge leap into this century. Nine clients last week. For me thats a pretty good week. Four slated so far for this coming week. Lots of opennings. Perhaps the Lordll fill em. I love partnering with Him to help folks with the stewardship of their bodies. Its all about keeping the system in balance. Well, Gizmo has his teeth wrapped round my shoelace...and hes pullin my carcus toward my sarcoughagus lest I get a sore in my esophagus. And thats the news from the foot of Americas mountain...where a small time doctor of humble means partners with Jesus to help His peeps in big ways.
