The Next Generation Launch Vehicle The Geosynchronous Satellite - TopicsExpress

The Next Generation Launch Vehicle The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle – Mark III (GSLV-MkIII) is being developed by ISRO as a muscular sibling of GSLV. It is designed to propel 4 tonne class of satellites to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbits (GTO) and it can deliver spacecraft of almost 10 tonnes to Low Earth Orbits (LEO). Weighing as heavy as 210 Elephants and standing as tall as a 14-storeyed apartment, this three stage vehicle is our effort towards achieving self reliance in launching heavier communication satellites.
