† The Next Move † I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose Isaiah 46:9–10 ESV My wife’s late brother was a US Chess Master and was pretty amazing to watch. He could play two chess games while blindfolded, tracking all sixty-four chess pieces in his mind. He would calculate all the moves that you could make, several levels deep, well before you made them. Compared to the average player, well you just could not compare. A co-worker of his once told us that he had played hundreds of games with him during lunch, and lost every single one of them. God can see the end of the game from the beginning. Way beyond anything that we can think or do. The word says that He laughs at His enemies. He knows every move they will make all the way to the end of time and is prepared for it. So when your life suddenly takes an unexpected turn, know that God is with you, He see’s what is coming and He is countering it. Keep on serving God, putting one foot in front of the other. We cannot always see the next move, but He can.
