The North Carolina Senate race has gone as well for Rand Paul as he could have dreamed. 1) He endorsed Greg Brannon, which pleased his base. 2) Brannon, a kook, missed the runoff, which meant less national media attention for him and no establishment anger at Paul for making Thom Tillis waste money. 3) Tillis is turning out to be a zombie candidate, currently being Weekend-at-Berniesd by every major figure in the GOP, who cant seem to get him past Kay Hagan in the polls. 4) Paul campaigned for Tillis over the Libertarian Party candidate, shielding himself from any blame if Tillis blows it.
