The North East San Fernando Valley has been painting the walls with stories of the surrounding areas for many years now. Murals have become a way to empower and connect the community through art. This past Saturday local cyclists learned the stories and history behind these murals. Special guest speakers and artist included Kristy Sandoval, Rah Azul, Manny Velazquez and HOODsisters. The ride began at Tia Chuchas Centro Cultural & Bookstore and ended at Compañía de Café and lasted about two hours and covered 5-8 miles. Ride organized by Bikesanas del Valle and its supporters were Tía Chuchas Centro Cultural & Bookstore, Pacoima Beautiful, El Hormiguero, HOODsisters, Kristy Sandoval Art, Chavez Art, Rah Azul, Levi Fonz Ponce, Manny Velazquez, and Councilmember Felipe Fuentes.
