The Noshir & Dolly Dhunjibhoy Sprint Million will be a very fast run race Pune: Only five runners are competing in The 1200M Noshir & Dolly Dhunjibhoy Sprint Million, which will be run here on 12/10/2014. This Million race is for Indian Horses, 4 years old and over. In my opinion, the winner of this esteemed sprint race is likely to be the very much in-form 4YO Gelding-Dancing Prances (A. Sandesh up) who decisively won his last race on 30/8/2014- The 1200M Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy in a brilliant time of 1-10.36s. He has excelled in his work-outs which indicates, that he is raring to go, plus the terms are favorable for him and he is well in line for a hat-trick on Sunday, October 12, 2014. The only horse who could possibly be a threat to Dancing Prances is the 4YO very speedy Gelding- Dancing Phoenix who is fit for the fray and being purely a 1000M horse, he will make the race an interesting one, as he will try his utmost, to win from start-to-finish. Dancing Prances (Ace-Dancing Greens) Trainer:Altaf Hussain This very well bred and highly speedy chestnut gelding has won Six Races in his career. In his first educative run with the whipless jockey Prabhu Naidu, he got an easy run on the Mahalaxmi track on 20/11/2012 by finishing 2nd in a 2YO maiden race over 1000M, indicating that he will not remain in the maiden ranks for long. And sure enough, he won the 1200M Diabolical Trophy on 3/1/2013, by a widening 8-1/2 lengths, with his rider looking under his shoulder from about the 400M, conspicuously revealing that he could have won by a much wider margin, if he were to have been ridden out in the final 400M. Subsequently, in the 1400M Poonawalla Breeders Multi-Million (Gr.1) on 24/2/2013 he finished 4th to Muroi, Starry Eyes and Mariinsky but beating the well performed geldings -Falcon, Dancing Phoenix, Albertino and Scenic Warrior. Then, in his 4th run, he scored his second victory on 24/3/13 where he won the 1200M Forbes India Million in a superb time of 109.80 sec which is a just a fraction short of the course record. Subsequently, he swiftly won his third race on 21/11/13 a 1200M handicap race, for HR 40-66 and soon followed it up on 26/12/13 by stylishly winning his 4th race, The 1200M A. Campbell Trophy, a HR for horses 60-86. Thereafter, the speedy Dancing Prances 54.5Kg ran 2nd -1/2L behind the classy filly Amelia 49.5Kg on 1/2/2014 in Mumbai over 1200 in The Black Dog Trophy, a HR for horses 80&up. Then, on 1/3/2014, he ran a superb 2nd by a mere head behind - Nefyn in The 1200M Sprinters Cup (Gr.1) at Hyderabad. Afterwards, on 24/7/2014 in Pune, Dancing Prances with a weighty 61Kg unluckily lost by a SHD to Falcon 51.5Kg in The 1400M Fair Haven Trophy, a race for horses rated 80 &upwards. Subsequently, his 5th victory was on 10/8/2014 in Pune in The 1400M Pune Bookmakers Association Trophy (G.3) which he stylishly won by 1-1/4L in a speedy time of 1-24.50. Then Dancing Prances won his 6th Race on 30/8/14 the 1200M Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy in a very speedy time of 1-10.36s. His ‘Sire’ Ace who is by Danehill out of Tea House won 3 races at 2 (8 fur.) Euro 195,468+ pounds 137,263+ $ 551,000 + Dhs 161,896 incl. Desmond Stakes (Gr.3). His ‘Dam’ Dancing Greens who is by Greensmith out of Dancing Designs who won 4 races, Rs. 5, 33,080 and placed, dam of Aaja Nachle by Alnasr Alwasheek 1 win and placed. His ‘Grand Dam’ Dancing Designs won 5 races Rs.5, 83,657 including K. M. Munshi Trophy. Plus, his dam’s tail line is a very strong one as it goes down to the likes of Another Certainty who won 7 races incl. Fillies’ and Mares’ Stakes (GR.3) and who was the dam of 4 very good winners - Certainty who won 7 races in England and in India including Eclipse Stakes of India (Gr.3), A. C. Ardeshir Gold Cup (Gr.3) and K.R.H.O.A. Cup, etc. My Final Analysis: The impeccably bred and extremely speedy gelding Dancing Prances who is presently in terrific form, is raring to go. His last 2 successive wins on 10/8/2014 & 30/8/2014 over 1400M and 1200M respectively, shows that he is presently in devastating form. Plus, he has given two superb work-outs on the IST on 20/9/2014 & on 1/10 /2014 over 1000 in 50(-10), 600 in 38 (-7) he excelled. Now, on 12/10/2014 Dancing Prances runs The 1200M Noshir & Dolly Dhunjibhoy Sprint Million, a Terms race for Indian Horses, 4 years old and over and considering that he is in great shape, Dancing Prances who has the right credentials to win, is the one, who all will find difficult to beat. Dancing Phoenix (Phoenix Tower – All Dancing) Trainer: Dallas Todywalla He is a very good 1000 mts sprinter and has won 5 races, come 2nd on three occasions & has come 3rd twice from his 13 runs. His maiden win was in Mumbai on 2/2/2013 over 1000M which he won by a widening 3-3/4L in a speedy time of 59.30s. Then, after a fortnight on 17/2/2013, he stylishly won his 2nd race, a terms event for 3YO-the 1200M AGP Multi-Million by a widening 4-1/4L in a brisk time of 1: 10.92s. Subsequently, only after a week on 24/2/2013, Dancing Phoenix ran in the 1400M Poonawalla Breeders-Multimillion (Gr.1) and finished a poor 6th in a field of 17 runners, mainly because he could not get the 1400 trip as he is only a sprinter up to 1200M. Then, wisely after giving him a rest for 5 months, he ran in Pune and on 25/7/2013 he brilliantly won his 3rd race, The 1000M P. Hadow Trophy, a race for horses rated 60-86, by a widening 5-1/2L. Thereafter, on 10/8/2013 he ran a 1200M race, for horses rated 80&upwards and lost as the favourite, coming 3rd to the brilliant & in-form Ishpingo, who beat him by over 2L, despite giving him 11Kg. Then, after a wise gap of over 3 weeks, Dancing Phoenix decisively won his 4th race in Pune, as on money favorite, on 1/9/2013-The 1000M Odds On Trophy in a splendid time of 59.64s. Then, on 24/11/2013, in Mumbai, Dancing Phoenix won his 5th race-The 1200M Class I, Seth Ramnath Daga Trophy, a handicap race for horses 80& upwards easily beating the favorite- Déjà Vu, by 2-3/4L in a splendid time of 1:10.90s. The last run of Dancing Phoenix 58Kg was on 30/8/2014, a 1200M race in which he made all the running, till about 100M from the post, whereby Dancing Prances 59Kg eventually beat him by only 1 Length. So, now the speedy Dancing Phoenix who is very fit, with a bit of luck, may Upset. Browsing, over his pedigree, his ‘Sire’ Phoenix Tower (Chester House- Bionic) had 4 wins & 4 places and his principal victory was Weatherbys Earl of Sefton Stakes (Gr.3)-1800M at Newmarket (GB). Plus, He ran 2nd in Four (Gr.1) races in GB. His ’Dam’ All Dancing (Major Impact-Cambridge Ball) did nothing significant but his Dam’s Tail Line is a pretty strong one, as it goes down to the likes of Lisadell who from 5 starts had 2 superb wins, (i) At 3, she won Althasi S. (Gr.3) & (ii) At 3, she also won Coronation S. (Gr.2) and her Career Earnings were well over $ 30,000. Furthermore, his Dam’s Tail Line also goes down to the likes of Thong who had 5 wins, 4 places including one Gr.3 race over 1800M and one Gr.1 race over 2000M with Career Earnings well over $ 50,000. My Final Analysis: The impeccably bred and very speedy Dancing Phoenix, is presently is in the pink of condition, and with a bit of Luck, if he somehow manages, to get the better of the in-form favourite- Dancing Prances, then the former may Upset in The 1200M Noshir & Dolly Dhunjibhoy Sprint Million on 12/10/2014
