The OPEN I know everyone is anxious to know where the next Championship event will be and I assure you we are working hard on finalizing the details. Many have asked if we will be back in Atlantic City and I would simply say there is a 95% chance the answer to that is NO. Why you ask? -World Tavern has grown so large that most casinos simply cannot handle the amount of players we bring. Even the Borgata has said that our event is too big for them to handle without incredible expenses in opening their large ballroom. -Caesar’s AC properties (Harrahs, Ballys, Caesars) are out because they will be filing bankruptcy soon which could mean they would not have to honor a contract for our event (leaving us homeless). -Atlantic City has always been a challenge to travel by plane as well we could never host an event over the weekend because hotel room rates on a Saturday are $250+. So, what is the plan of action you ask? We have recently spoken to and/or met with 3 casinos along 95 making it much easier for travel for the masses and with the possibility of being able to start on Friday or Saturday requiring less time off from work for our players. As well, we have reached out to a number of other venues on the East Coast and simply trying to determine which venue makes the most sense in cost for all of us, and one that can provide us a NEW approach to these awesome events!
