The OUT OK Film Festival kicks off next week with the film The Way He Looks showing at Circle Cinema on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. Director Daniel Ribeiros impressive feature film debut is an irresistibly charming portrayal of friendship, desire, and the awakening of first love. Leonardo (Ghilherme Lobo), a blind teenager, struggles for independence from his well-intentioned friends and family. The angst of adolescence begins to clash with his over-protective mother and his sarcastic and sassy best friend, Giovana (Tess Amorim). This angst is further provoked with the arrival of Gabriel (Fabio Audi), a handsome and magnetic new student. As Leonardo and Gabriel navigate uncharted territory, their next challenge is to find the courage to reveal their deeper feelings.
