The Office of Teacher - 2 Yahshua as the Chief Teacher/Great Rabbi Among the five functional offices of Yahshua in His capacity as Head of the Church, one of them was the function of Chief Teacher. His teachings were radical. Yet, He taught in such a way that had depth and was illustrative. He taught with great authority, so much so that on one occasion, those sent to arrest Him were so enthralled with His words that they forgot their assignment! Matthew 7: 28, 29; John 7: 40 – 47. Till today, the Sermon on the Mount as found in Matthews Chapter 5, 6, 7 is a classic case of profound teaching yet delivered with great simplicity. The parables of the Kingdom are as fresh and powerful today as when they were first given. Within the Body, there will be those who have the gift of teaching and are exhorted to do so with all diligence Romans 12:7. This gracious gift may be extensively distributed among saints who have the teaching DNA of their Head, Yahshua. Most of them will function as Sunday School Teachers and in various capacities within the Body. There will however be those who have the specific office of Teacher whose principal function is to be used of the Holy Spirit to perfect the saints and equip them for the work of ministry as part of the five fold office gifts/functions. This means that His functional role as the Chief Teacher was released and committed to certain individuals as conduits through who He will keep His Church in full understanding of all that pertain to life and godliness. tbc
