The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an outstanding physician to join its vibrant group of endocrinologists & diabetologists. This is a full-time, *non-tenure track, clinical faculty position in Endocrinology & Metabolism. The clinical component of the position will be with the University Medical Associates Diabetes & Endocrine Center, working in a dynamic environment with a multidisciplinary team that includes diabetes educators, dieticians and counselors. The candidate must have a special interest in and qualifications for practicing, teaching, and research in Diabetes or Endocrinology. Qualifications: • Graduate of an AOA/ACGME-approved fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism • Board eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology & Metabolism in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with substantial diabetes experience • Ohio licensure (DO or MD) • DEA licensure Responsibilities: • Maintain, demonstrate, and teach the clinical application of diabetology/endocrinology in the University Medical Associates Diabetes & Endocrine Center • Provide inpatient consultation services as a member of the Section of Diabetes Services at Ohio Health-O’Bleness Hospital • Participate in the training and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows as assigned by OU-HCOM • Participate in academic and administrative function as assigned by the Department Chair or Section Head; and Director of the Diabetes Endocrine Center • Participate in scholarly activities • Based on departmental needs and/or a candidate’s credentials, this position may be considered as a tenure-track position. Rank and Salary: Member, University Medical Associates, plus base university salary at the Assistant Professor/Fellow Rank. Benefits: Excellent fringe benefits.
