The Oklahoma District Attorneys Association and Verizon Wireless announce the second District Attorneys Against Domestic Violence (DAs Against DV) Collaboration. Together, their efforts will help raise awareness of domestic violence in communities across the state. Oklahoma is ranked third in the nation for the number of females murdered by men in single victim/single offender incidents for the second year in a row. With domestic violence being on the forefront of media coverage as of late, largely because of the Ray Rice incident and multiple other NFL players being arrested for domestic violence, including Arizona Cardinals Running Back, Jonathan Dwyer. Chris Ross, President of the Oklahoma District Attorneys Association stated, Approximately one in four women are victims of domestic violence. A growing problem within our communities, we are determined to help victims of domestic violence learn about the ways of getting help.
