The Olivet Eagles football team at Olivet Middle School in Olivet, Michigan went behind their coaches backs to do something INCREDIBLE! The Olivet Eagles decided to run a play and intentionally not score, all without their coaches having a clue as to what they were doing. The football team joined together, for weeks, as they planned this. Their motive? They wanted to set up a very special moment for a very special boy. Keith Orr, a student at Olivet Middle School, is a special needs child. Keiths buddies on the football team decided to give him the chance to make a touchdown. Football player, Sheridan Hedrick, could have easily scored a touchdown but instead took a knee on the one-yard line. . .much to the dismay of the crowd. Only the football players knew what would happen next: the Keith Special. The ball was hiked and immediately handed to Keith and his teammates huddled around him to protect him from the oncoming defense as Keith ran forward and scored the touchdown without a scratch. These football players did much more than help Keith score a touchdown! They taught the world a huge lesson! Look around you. It may not be a special needs boy but I bet you can find someone who might be hurting or someone who could just use a special moment in their life. Go ahead, start planning!
