The Oral History Network of Ireland in association with Dublin - TopicsExpress

The Oral History Network of Ireland in association with Dublin City Council Heritage Office invite you to the Leinster Oral History Forum on Friday, 23rd August, 10am-4.30pm. Are you or would you like to be involved in an oral history / folklore project? Do you carry out recorded interviews or plan to? Would you like to share your experiences with other practitioners and interested parties, and identify the joys and challenges of carrying out oral history in contemporary Ireland? The Oral History Network of Ireland (OHNI) will host a one day forum for oral history practitioners in Dublin city on Friday, 23rd August, 10am – 4.30pm. Along with presentations from a variety of oral history projects from across Leinster, the forum will provide an opportunity for participants to meet and connect with others active or interested in the field. We hope also to identify both the needs of individuals and groups, and potential training and support opportunities. The forum will take place at the Wood Quay Venue in Dublin City Council. This event is one of four regional events organised by OHNI for 2013. It caters to those based in Leinster, but all interested parties are welcome. Forum registration is €15. For more information on the Oral History Network of Ireland see: oralhistorynetworkireland.ie. Please feel free to forward this notice on to others who may be interested. To register for the forum and for more information, contact: Regina Fitzpatrick: [email protected] Please register by Friday 9th August 2013 to ensure a place.
