The Orff Echo Seeks Submissions: Summer, 2015 Issue The Orff Echo - TopicsExpress

The Orff Echo Seeks Submissions: Summer, 2015 Issue The Orff Echo Editorial Board is soliciting articles for the Summer 2015 issue. The feature subject is “Orff Un-Barred.” Do you consider playing barred instruments to be a core component of an Orff Schulwerk approach to teaching music? Limited funds or space may preclude using those instruments in a music class, so how do Orff teachers effectively teach music without them? Do you have experience using Orff Schulwerk beyond the bars? This issue explores how other activities such as singing, movement/dance, rhythmic speech, drama, or use of other instruments are also central to the process teaching of Orff Schulwerk. Submission of articles on other facets of Orff Schulwerk are also encouraged and welcomed for this issue. To contribute, contact issue coordinators Patty Reed (pattyreedplmdsrt@aol ) or Chet-Yeng Loong ([email protected]). Deadline for submissions is November 15, 2014 While issues of the Echo publish special features of 3-4 articles, any subject can be published in any issue. Have an idea? Contact a coordinator today!
