The Organic Products Trading Co. in Vancouver, WA, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator & Coffee Quality Analyst. While experience in both areas would be ideal, they would prefer to have someone who is strong in at least one side of things. This position will require a balance of duties; shipping and logistics alongside running the office cupping/quality lab. Spanish fluency is a must. As Coffee Quality Analyst you will manage incoming and outgoing samples, evaluate green preparation, sample roasting, and lead the quality team in coffee cupping and trainings. You will report findings back to coffee producers in order to calibrate with their QC teams, provide evaluation information for our customers, and contribute your input in sourcing decisions. As Logistics Coordinator you will organize shipping instructions, maintain and improve current shipment tracking system, troubleshooting transit issues, search for competitive rates from international ship lines and local freight companies, as well as the organizing necessary paperwork, Organic and Fair Trade certificates, and customs documents. Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria: • Speak/Write fluently in Spanish (required) • Demonstrate cultural competency • Experience in logistics • Experience in the coffee industry • Experience in roasting/cupping/evaluating coffee • Strong ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask • Advanced computer skills • Work well with a small team • Positive & outgoing personality
