"The Oswego Public Library is again collecting Beanie Babies in the month of August for Project Santa. Project Santa was started by Kathy Cattani of Ladd, Illinois & her son Zach DeArcos who was stationed in Iraq. Since its inception in 2005 about 49,464 stockings have been sewn, stuffed & sent to these brave men and women. In 2012, approximately 9000 stockings were shipped overseas. The Oswego Library will have two drop off points: the Oswego Campus located at 32 West Jefferson St, Oswego, IL 60543 and the Montgomery Campus located at 1111 Reading Drive, Montgomery, IL 60538 Luanne Harkins, Circulation Manager at the Oswego Campus, is available to answer any questions regarding the collection.
