The Ottumwa Community Events Committee just finished up a successful first years Ottumwa TreasureFest - over 50 vendors showed up and had a pretty good day! We are trying hard to bring a regularly occurring Flea Market back to Ottumwa! Now its time for us to set our sights on our next event - Ottumwa Zombie Fest - set for October 25th this year. This is an outdoor event that will be held at the Greater Ottumwa Park near the campgrounds. We will have access to a very large shelter house in that park, so although well be outdoors we can put people under the roof of the shelter if they prefer to be covered, and make use of the picnic tables inside so people wont have to haul their own tables if they dont want to. Mark your calendars now, well be putting together a new vendor application (a little cheaper than last years event) and getting it online soon. In the mean time, please follow our page and watch this posting for additional updates as they become available. So far weve had exclusivity requests for Scentsy, Thirty-One and Tastefully Simple, and I will post additional requests as I get them. Once the prices are set and forms are available, youll have 30 days to complete the form and send payment to lock in your exclusivity requests or they will become available on a first paid basis. The money we raised at TreasureFest, plus the profits from last years ZombieFest means well have a much bigger advertising budget and a much bigger event!
