Annual incidence of ACL injuries is estimated to be 100,000 to 250,000 with a healthcare cost of $1 to $2 billion. 2. ACL injury rate: 2.4 to 9.7 times greater in female athletes than male athletes. 3. Approximately 70% of ACL injuries = non-contact injuries 4. ACL prevention programs have been proven to decrease risk of ACL injury.
