The Park Hill Trojan Football team remains undefeated this season. I am a proud parent of number 93! It has given me tremendous pride to watch these boys develop a true *team* mentality. As we witnessed with the Kansas City Royals--a team effort means any given player becomes a star during any given game. Such has happened with the Trojans. When one player is having a rough game, another player steps up. When one player is hurt the team rallies around that team member. When they win--everyone wins. They have learned to overcome arguments. They have learned to love one another despite not necessarily liking each other all the time. We find ourselves on teams throughout our lives. At work, at home, in our neighborhoods, at church. We learn to accept people for who they are--not what we want them to be. The Park Hill Trojan football team is learning life lessons that are invaluable. It is a joy to watch them grow together. No matter what happens this Friday, win or lose our boys will be triumphant. I applaud Coach Hood and the other coaches for believing in these boys, teaching these boys how to handle the difficult times and celebrate the good times--as a team. They will carry these memories with them for a lifetime. Go Trojans!!
