The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists entering the Northeastern Extension (I-476) from Clarks Summit (Exit #131) to be prepared for a new traffic pattern on May 17 in the work zone on the Turnpike bridge in construction at milepost A129. Starting at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Saturday May 17, southbound traffic will be switched from the right lane into the left Lane. This temporary lane configuration is expected to remain in place until mid-late November. This schedule is dependent on the weather and current construction operations. Slow-moving traffic paces, with stoppages as needed, will be necessary to complete the traffic switch to the new pattern. The contractor, assisted by State Police will conduct the moving operations starting from the toll plaza at the Clarks Summit Interchange (Exit #131) southbound to the work zone at approximately milepost A130.5.
