The Pines Cottages are located right next door to the Log Cabin Motor Court, about five miles north of Asheville, North Carolina. They are approximately the same age, having been on the Dixie Highway since the late 1920s or early 1930s. These cabins have been updated somewhat compared to their earliest state. If you carefully look at the postcard image and the modern image of the three cabins youll realize they are the same buildings; the difference being that two of the cabins have had the log siding removed. This is another wonderful motor court that I cannot recommend highly enough. The interiors have been completely redone and this is a great place to stay. If I had to describe the difference between the Log Cabin Motor Court and The Pines Cottages I would say the Log Cabin is more original - very rustic and more like they were to travelers in the 1930s. The Pines have the look of that same era but are more updated and comfortable inside. I love them both!
