The Pool, Bubbles, and Maghrib Just had the most surreal - TopicsExpress

The Pool, Bubbles, and Maghrib Just had the most surreal experience. The hotels pool has three water release spots dotted along the center which dispense jets of water with thousands of mini bubbles. When standing nearby the neon blue lights illuminate the spheres such that it seems as if one is floating through space; made that much more real with the flute concerto being piped into the room. I discovered that as I stood above one of the spots, the bubbles, on their way up would land at the end of the hairs on my arms, such that at repeated moments throughout the swim my arm was simply covered with bubbles with a gorgeous blue glow. It was amazing. So it occured to me that this is how life and the blessings of God can be viewed. Some will simply see the pool as a pool (its beautiful). Some will see the bubbles rise up to the surface then hobble along till they pop. And some will see the bubbles which land on them; and when they leave, another batch appears; and when they leave, another batch appears.. Such is the Mercy of God that those who can see and appeeciate the blessings around them, they find themselves in awe of the beauty of the Creator, which they discover in the beauty of the experiences of life. And so inspired I noticed that the time for maghrib had approached. It seemed fitting that if God Almighty refers to men and women who remember God standing, sitting, reclining on their sides, then I may as well remember God while in the pool. So I performed maghrib while so inspired in the pool and it felt great. - God does not limit us, so we should not limit our abilitiea to remember and be thankful to God, wherever we are. In weeks of late while performing istikharah I have seen the most beautiful rainbows both in my dreams and while wide awake. When I stopped, they stopped, when I restarted, they reappeared. While I am unable to act upon what I see, after this evening at the pool, I am at least glad that I am blessed with seeing such things and pray that I am never ungrateful to God Almighty for the blessings bestowed upon me: those that I recognise and those that I do not. And I pray the same for the rest of us, amen. In the name of the One Who is the source of all peace, amen
