The Pray for America Bus Tour rolled into Cartersville, Georgia in Bartow County on Sunday. Bartow County has had remarkable unity among its Pastors and people in coming together to pray and we were eager to go meet all the incredible people. Last year over 250 Pastors prayed together on the National Day of Prayer and then walked down the street together to join the NDP event in Cartersville with over 4000 participants. The Holy Spirit has given great responsibility here with past tornado disasters, and the churches pulled together to lead disaster recovery. Christians have loved God and one another deeply and that unity continues to be blessed with great favor and passionate prayers. We started the day in prayer at a massive sports park called Lakepoint. Millions of people will pass through this sports park as athletes compete from all over the world and scouts watch for potential talent. They proclaim Lakepoint to be the home of tomorrows legends. We arrived at Liberty Square Church where we were warmly welcomed by Pastor Jacob King and several ministry partners and church staff. Pastor King interviewed Dion Elmore & Kathy Branzell about the bus tour and gave them an opportunity to share during the service. After a powerful sermon and time of joy-filled worship, we headed to the Sam Jones house (Roselawn) where Georgia NDP State Coordinator David Franklin and Pastor Scott Shepherd shared the spiritual heritage of Cartersvilles most famous evangelist Sam Jones and missionary Lottie Moon. Cartersville is rich with spiritual roots and just as ripe with current day fruit! We had a beautiful time sharing stories of what God has done and lessons we have learned on our NDP bus tours. All knees hit the floor in a time of prayer thanking God for His faithfulness and prayers for those in entertainment & media in the area, state & nationally. Thank you Cartersville for praying with us and for us. Your spiritual roots are deep and the fruit is sweet! We are now at Lipscomb University in Nashville - so look for more updates soon.
