The Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama was delighted to announce this morning that 45 Fijian peace keepers being detained in Syria have been released. They are safely back in UNs compound, they really all healthy, they are in high spirit, they will soon be in contact with their families and loved ones in fiji. Our man will need to ensure that they are debriefed and they obviously deserve bit of rest before they return to their duties. But I know they are all keen to Continue their mission. I know all Fijians join me in feeling a great sense of relief n joy as long as well as a deep appreciation for all those who were ahead in securing their safe release including this skill group of un negotiators.
