The Prime Minister should hang his head in shame, if he has any left. These underdogs are there as such from generations. They are often born and live their whole life in the street or ghettos. Tall political posturing of weeping hearts for the poor have not anyway affected their life for good for decades. The slogan such as "Ghareebi Hatao" and "Congress Ki haath aam Admi ke Saath" etc, anymore amuse them or anybody. They are the person who live life a day with 17 rupees cleaning and keeping the road rid off litters. The plethora of laws made for this underbelly often finds its enforcement in its violation. The Housing meant for them are allocated to the sidekicks of politicians. The budgetary allocation for their upliftment often finds its place in the deep pockets of politicians and their cronies. When the riots take place, these unfortunates are the first victim and the cannon fodder. First Information of any brutal rape of these children will never find reported by the police. Yet police will never shied away from collecting their regular "hafta" from this hapless. When the calamities take place Politicians enjoy the luxuries thrown open to them out of the money meant for the poor. Yet these politicians hands are in the till, the money allocated for the rescue and rehabilitation. Besides the contract of rehabilitation are with the Politi-cian’s relative. Thereby, they ensure permanent rehabilitation of the relatives and near and dear. At least the news item should have been an eye opener for the Prime Minister in deep slumber since for the last several years. The Prime Minister should personally appreciate and thank for this invaluable and heartfelt gesture of helping hand of the poor for the distressed fellow being and should return the money immediately.
