The Princesses of the Kingdom A short story by me Once upon a time, there were two little princesses. A big sister and a little sister. The first princess loved the King more than anyone in the whole world, although she also loved the Queen just as much, but the King had the throne. The little princess also was loved deeply but very much jealousy played a role in their relationship. In order for the two princesses to get along, the King and Queen worked together to show them how each of us is different. We all have our own gifts to offer others. Some of us are great at growing food, others are great at cooking it. Some of us are fantastic at remembering all the details, while most others as with age, forget them. The greatest gifts in the kingdom, as the King and Queen revealed to their princess beloveds... love above all else in how we relate to one another. Jealousy and love do not live together in the same house. Trust and respect is due in order, and lying and thievery are in direct opposition to the service we are to provide each other. Be kind, they showed the daughters. The kingdom is a reward for those honorable enough to abide it, and for all who enter may find peace and comfort here. The princesses grew up to be modest beauties with hearts of gold. The older one had a tiara cut from a single diamond atop her head, and the younger a necklace of fine gold and silver woven in a braid around her neck drooping elegantly at the collar. They didnt work hard to simply get the dowry, they in fact were given dowry because they understood the value in the character it represents. The dowry means nothing without the kingdom. Jealousy plays no proper role in ownership. The princesses of the Kingdom inherited more than they could imagine. The end.
