The Projects Coming to Ronkonkoma! Did you know that the Brookhaven Town Board is in the process of approving thousands of low-income rental housing units in the Ronkonkoma and Holbrook areas (Sachem School District)? Yes... if we dont do something to stop these projects, our community will be overrun by thousands of new residents who pay no taxes and have nothing invested in our community. These projects will surely mean more crime, more traffic, more garbage and a serious drain on community services. This includes over-crowding in our schools and a burden on already stressed medical and social services. Not only will this cost all homeowners more in property taxes and fees, but the impact on our property values will surely be catastrophic. This is not why we moved to this community.
