The Prophet (SAW) allegedly said: لو كان بعدي نبي لكان عمر If there was a Prophet after me verily it would be `Umar R.A My understanding of this hadith is that Umar R.A had a complete and perfect character. The fact that Nabuwwah ended with the Prophet (SAW) is what prevented Umar R.A from being a Prophet...! According to this hadith, Umar R.A would be considered the most pious with the most excellent character among the people. This hadith is even more explicit than Hadith al Manzilah in which the Prophet (SAW) said Ali (R.A) was to the Prophet as Haroon (AS) was to Musa (AS) Hazrat Omar Farooq R.A ki Azmat Ko Salam...!
