The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "Wise is he who controls his desires and prepares for the life after death, Foolish is he who makes himself a slave to his desires and has false hope upon Allah". Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire: of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord, like [that of] those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines? Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, "Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world even if he got everything on the earth, except a Mujahid who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the honour and dignity he receives (from Allah)." "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
