The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: When you ask should ask from Allah, and when you seek help, should seek it from Allah Alone [al-Tirmizi]. Allah(Swt) says in the Glorious Quran: You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything) [Quran: 1:5] And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright. [Quran: 2:186] And invoke not besides Allah, any that will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) [Quran: 10:106] And your Lord said: Invoke Me, I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islâmic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation! [Quran: 40:60] Verily, those whom you call upon besides Allâh are slaves like you. So call upon them and let them answer you if you are truthful. [Quran: 7:194]
