The Proud DC is delighted to report as follows: Today 6 teams set off early to the VAH PC Team jumping. for some if was their first time representing the branch in a team and there were sucesses across the board. The Ruby Intro Team finished on a score of 4 faults were Ollie Heard, Lily Arnold, Tash Turner and Phoebe Anderson were 5th with a double clear for Tash and Harvey. The Fuchsia Intro Team - Charlie Fry, Charlotte Moore, Flo Carter and Laura Pope were 8th finishing with a score of 8 and Flo got a double clear. In the Novice Ring the under 12 team, only one of 3 teams, did very well having moved up from the intro ring last year. Unfortunately, Bobbie and Maddie were eliminated in the first round due to a very scary filler but after warming up with Jane for the next round rode like demons and produced clear rounds. Phoebe Hendry did a double clear and Louis just had 4 faults but Dell did give some of the fences another 3 ft! The Cerise team finished on 12 faults and came 7th, Anna Rigsby, Emily Hearne, Millie Simons and Kate Wallace doing a double clear. In the Open ring, we also had two teams after the first round the Rose Team Zoe Burroughs, Mollie Coker Harris, Harvey Hendry and Susie Everett were on zero and so were the Lilac Team - Izzy Tasker, Honor Murison, Annabelle Turner and Hannah Martin. At Lunch time the Lilac team were awarded first prize for tack and turn out, sometimes the kiss of death! but in the afternoon the Rose Team had 8 faults a piece but the Lilac team were tied on 4 faults with 4 other teams for first place, so there was a jump off and we were drawn to go first - 3 superb quick clear rounds were impossible to beat and so the trophy was theirs and a second first rosette for the day. Annabelle did two clear rounds and Hannah Martin 3! A really good team effort from you all girls - congratulations and you all did look very smart. Many thanks must go to Jane and Caroline who were very busy all day as there always seemed to be at least two teams jumping at once which also made it quite difficult for me but I did see everyone jump twice but may be not all the jumps! Also thanks to all the Mums and Dads (aunts and uncles) who gave up their day and especially the Team Managers/Mother Hens. A great day for all and I hope that you have made lots more friends for camp. I look forward to seeing you all next weekend jumping set up our show, taking part and clearing away - remember this show is for you entries close on Tuesday the jumping classes are filling up fast! Many hands make light work so lets all get stuck in and do our bit. Helen
