Qua is Last in NL Central, 15 GB and 6 GB 3rd Place. Quas Lou Gehrig did not Start at 1b against SFs LH Starter 1914 Dutch Leonard (8-5, 2.34 ERA). Instead, Gehrig entered the game in the 8th, as a PH for lf Rookie RH Devin Steigerwald (.285 AVG). Qua had already scored 1 Run to tie the game, 3-3, and c Rookie RH J.D. Kearney (.317) was on 1st, having reached on a 2-Out Error by SF P RH Cisco Carlos (E #1). There were 2 Out. LH 1963 Mike Lee relieved Carlos. But ph Gehrig lined a Double (#8) to cf. A pr might have scored, but c Kearney had to stop at Third. The Inning ended when p Lee made a Good Defensive play to rob Qua ss Ozzie Smith of a go-ahead Single. Gehrig stayed in the game, playing LF. In the Top of the 11th, Gehrig smashed a 2-Run Triple (#1; RBI=32) that stood as the game-winning Hit. Qua RH Rookie Landon Seger (1-0, 11.25) got the Win in relief. RH 1989 Dennis Eckersley got the Save (#17). SF LH Rookie Dalton Roenker (0-3, 11.77) took the Loss. My teams were 3-2 in this Round. Alhambra and Bedbug Taboo also won. Beach Zaibatsu slips 1 GB in NL East. BT is still 1 GB in AL Central. Fair to Middling lost to Arizona, 3-2. With 16 games left, Ari leads the AL Wildcard Race. Cleveland is 2 GB. FtM is tied with Cincinnati, who has won 6 in a row, are tied at 3 GB. FtM and Cin are also tied for 2nd Place in the AL West, 13 GB. 1st Place Washington has a Magic Number of 4.
