((The Queen and Her King)) In the game of Chess, as in life, - TopicsExpress

((The Queen and Her King)) In the game of Chess, as in life, the king is the most central piece. In fact, he is the most vital piece to the game. Why? Because if someone takes out your king, you lose the entire game. As a result, everything attached to the king is annihilated and checkmated. Although the king is the most vital piece, he is also the piece that is the most vulnerable because he is always susceptible to an attack. This is why we must raise our sons to be thinkers and to think with the big head instead of the little one, so that he picks a queen to stand by his side rather than a trifling trick whos just out to take him for a ride. In the game of Chess, just like in life everybody is trying to get at or take out your king. Because they know that if they take out the king, they control the game... sometimes for generations to come. This is why it is vitally essential that the Queen recognizes how valuable she is to the game. Ladies...you are not a jumpoff, bust-it baby or booty call buddy. Raise your game by becoming the queen that you were meant to be by respecting yourselves, having standards and not allowing anyone to treat you with disregard or disrespect. Not only that, if the queen is to take her rightful place by her king then she must possesses the wisdom, foresight and emotional maturity to gently sway the king by encouraging him and protecting his mental peace. When the king has peace he can think clearly and get on his grind and provide. Make no mistake, in no way am I suggesting that women are inferior or subservient to men. We each have different roles. And it’s about knowing how to play your position and to use your power wisely in order to shape the outcome of the game. There’s an old African proverb, that goes, “The king is the head and the queen is the neck and where the neck goes the head turns.” This is why the Queen is so powerful. She has influence as well as the power of persuasion. And influence is the greatest type of power, because it’s in the subtleties that real transformation takes place. If you can influence a man, you can shape the outcome of virtually any situation that is near and dear to that man’s heart. So while the head is the base taking the reins and driving the vision, the neck is the manager executing the plans and facilitating change. In the game of chess, like the king, the queen can move in any one straight direction - forward, backward, sideways, or diagonally - but unlike the king, she can move as far as she likes as long as she does not move through any other pieces. For this reason, a queen can never sell herself cheap by allowing a whole lot of rooks and pawns to run up in her and move right thru her. And, like with all pieces, if the queen captures an opponents piece, thats the square she stops on, subtly swaying the game. The thing about the queen is no one sees her as a real threat…and that’s a bonus for her, because it allows her to move more freely underneath the radar and underestimated. This is why your wife can meet another woman and know right off the bat, no matter how innocent that woman pretends to be if that woman is trying to infiltrate. And the queen will let you know subtly the first time but the next time she will knock her trifling ass right off the gameboard. Dont ever sleep on your queen. Ladies…If you have a King, (not a boy, man-child or wana-be-player, but a King, who treats you like a Queen, don’t let haters, naysayers and those who are trying to break up what the two of you have built, checkmate your relationship or family. In fact, step into the fullness of your royalty so that as soon as the other pieces see you coming, they know from the gate that it’s game over. - Cassandra Mack...strategiesforempoweredliving
