The Readers Corner, A Meeting Place for Readers of Astounding Stories Thats kind of what this place has become over the ten years weve been in business but not all of the stories youll find here are written down...yet. Like the one about the two aging ladies dressed in Hippie garb who came in one day and after slowly walking through the store for half an hour, stopping occasionally to whisper to each other, came to the counter and asked if we knew that we had numerous friendly spirits wandering throughout the store. They shared with us in great detail their impressions about each of the long gone folks who they said are still inhabiting the building. One told Brittany and I that she could even smell the light scent of lavender one of the lady spirits wore in life and still carries as she floats through the store. She kept talking about the faint lavender scent left behind by this particular spirit, putting on quite a show of closing her eyes, looking toward the ceiling, breathing deeply and sighing dramatically as she exhaled. After they left I looked over at Brittany, winked and pulled two bars of lavender soap we had put back for a customer out from behind a book display on the counter near where the lady had been standing.
