The Republicans have now taken a 0.4% lead on the generic congressional ballot nationwide. We have our work cut out for us. We need to maintain the broad coalition that netted my candidacy 97,504 votes in the 2012 against Lankford, his church network, and his money. We need to add to our coalition. We need to turn out our vote. To win on November 4, with 3 independents on the ballot, we need between 96,500 and 97,000 votes to win in this off-year election. We know there are 97,504 voters in CD5 who will vote for me, because they did so in the last election cycle. Our aggressive grassroots campaigning and building on the base we put together in 2012 give us a big leg up on the task we have before us. The first step along the way is the June 24 Democratic Primary. Together, we can make history. Vote like your life depends on it...because it does! guildforcongress
