The Republicans in Congress, and in specific the Tea Party members, should be prosecuted for fraud. For accepting pay for not performing any function whatsoever, with the only task they hold onto is to repeal Obamacare, a program passed by the House and Senate, signed into law by the President, and held to be constitutional by the Supreme Court. They passed 44 resolutions to defund the program without success and are now holding the 349 million of the US hostage to force their agenda onto the majority. And, unfortunately so very many people are blaming the President for the shutdown. Shame on them for their ignorance and gullibility!
