The Road Back by Jonathan Blakemore Its like waking up from a dream, As though you have been living your life, But the only thing you know is that you dont. Its like all of the sudden, up is down. That the passing of time and the events of life, Have come and gone, and you forgot to say hello. And never said goodbye. Its like waking up from a dream, But you never went to bed. Like a moment in time, That you thought was dead, You once were something that you no longer are, And you never took the time to meet the new you, So you sit in a strangers body, Deciding what it means to be the new you Its like waking up from a dream, Deciding that its all for the best. Like looking at the world, For the first time not knowing, All the things you were so sure of, Are now in question. The only thing certain is that, Im awake. Its like waking up from a dream, And not knowing where to go, As though life has passed me by, While I was learning how to walk, The world has changed, Now the questions begin. I now begin a journey, To find out what has changed, Since the great illusion began, And what has stay the same. Its like waking up from a dream, And hoping everythings the same, That nothing will change, And theres nothing to decide. Then realzing nothing is the same, That there are no guarantees, Its like waking up from a dream, Then realzing theres still one thing. The one thing that brought me here, Is calling me to act. Hes crying out my name, Has been for a while, The one whom I trusted so long ago, But sometime ago I walked away, Hes calling me back, Hes the one who woke me up. Hes Jesus. Its like waking up from a dream, To a whole new world. Step out and be brave, Dont look back.
