The Rotary Club of Kabul City (RCKC) works to foster a culture of volunteerism and connectivity of like-minded persons who are committed to the improvement of Kabuli lives and civic spirit. The RCKC is excited to announce its extension of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for grants of up to 1000 USD to smaller sized Afghan organizations with a specific financial need for an established and self-contained project. Organizations are requested to provide a written application, details attached, from which 4 or so applications will be short listed after RCKC executive review. Short listed applicants will be invited to present their project at an RCKC weekly meeting. The presentation will be approximately 15 minutes plus an additional question period. It is expected that the selected organizations will receive their funding approximately in mid – May. These grants are not massive, but are intended to increase the relations between the RCKC and Kabuli civil society organizations. In this way, the RCKC wishes to mobilize its base to identify deserving and productive partners which it may later introduce to international Rotary Clubs in the future. All are welcomed to apply. Written applications are requested in English, while presentations may be in Dari/Pashtu (translation provided). The due date for Applications are March 28th. They, as well as all questions, can be messaged to myself, any RCKC member or newkabulrotary@gmail. Please circulate freely.
