The SM Cares Village in Brgy. Polambato in Bogo, Cebu is the first site of the SM Cares Housing Project. This is the first 200 of the 1,000 disaster-resilient houses that SM and its business partners will build for the survivors of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). The houses will be given to selected beneficiaries for free. Other villages will be built in Concepcion, Iloilo, and in Tacloban and Ormoc, Leyte. This housing project is fully privately funded by SM, its business partners, stakeholders and the communities it serves.
