The SNP have been trying to get Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh elected for some time now. It didnt appear to matter what the post actually was, she would be pushed to the front of the queue because that is what the SNP wanted, even if someone may have been better qualified to hold a particular post. It looks like this may be happening again, this time in Falkirk. Now while some may or may not applaud Craig Murray for his revelations regarding torture, his stance regarding the Spare Room Subsidy (the Bedroom Tax) is one which anyone who has taken notice of the SNPs thoughts about it, are at least consistent. However, in an attempt to gain as much political power as possible, it would appear to be an irrelevancy which can be ignored. Consider the SNP in a coalition after the General Election in 2015. It is clear that the only thing they are interested in, is political power. They would have no problem with any party whose line was to continue this particular legislation as long as it allowed them to wield power and remain in Government. So much for standing up for those at the bottom of the ladder. They are only interested in power, not about using it for the benefit of those they have attracted to their cause. heraldscotland/politics/scottish-politics/torture-whistle-blowers-anger-at-snp-stitch-up-after-election-block.26155630
