The SOLAR PLEXUS , or The Celiac Plexus is a collection of nerve - TopicsExpress

The SOLAR PLEXUS , or The Celiac Plexus is a collection of nerve cells that are located midway from the navel and the base of the sternum, (a complex network of nerves located in the abdomen, where the celiac trunk, superior mesenteric artery, and renal arteries branch from the abdominal aorta). The Solar Plexus is *very important* in the proper functioning of many of the bodys organs, as well as offering support to various organs like the stomach, spleen, pancreas and liver. Through branches it controls many vital functions such as adrenal secretion and intestinal contraction. Physical attributes associated with the solar plexus include digestion, the nervous system and the immune system. Non-physical attributes include power and control. According to Hindu texts, *the Solar Plexus is the seat of your third Chakra*. This Chakra is situated just below the sternum (where your ribs attach in the front). The 3rd Chakra, *the Solar Plexus Chakra*, represents our ability to be confident and in control of our lives. Emotional issues affecting our Solar Plexus Chakra: Self-confidence, self-esteem. Exercises for activating and energizing your Solar Plexus chakra: *Kundalini Yoga* **In life the third chakra is yes and no. High and low is balanced at the third chakra. It is a point of pure energy. If you do not know to balance the third chakra, you may have all the degrees, all the knowledge, all the money, all the beauty, but you shall be unhappy. ** ( Excerpts from a lecture by Yogi Bhajan, February 5, 1991, Los Angeles, California )
